Boogli: Merging Creativity and Functionality

Boogli is a collection of beautiful, Earth-friendly products that are design-forward, solve fundamental problems, and foster learning and entertainment for humans. My passion for creativity began at a young age, as I imagined strange worlds and characters, later leading to a career in digital design focused on human behaviors.

With two daughters immersed in the mobile device world, I sought to impress them by combining digital creativity with tangible, real-world products. My goal was to create products with both a physical and software component, resulting in a fun and interactive experience for my daughters.

While attempting to introduce tracking products to past clients and agencies, I created prototypes and a conceptual beacon awareness platform. These efforts reignited my creative confidence and focus, driving me to develop a tangible product that my girls would find cool.

I noticed a recurring problem in our home: children struggling to prop up their mobile devices without them falling over. My daughters would use various household items to support their iPods, often misplacing their devices at bedtime and dealing with charging cords slipping behind their nightstands. I wanted to create a solution that provided organization and protection for their valuable devices.

I began sketching utility concepts, but they lacked a connection between the device and holder and had no personality. Finally, I arrived at the idea of a lovable monster with a purpose: Boogli. The software component allows Boogli to mimic users' voices and mouth movements through an associated app.

As a designer and problem-solver, I envisioned the endless possibilities for Boogli's character and software. Boogli can hold a mobile device, entertain, educate, charge devices, interact with lights and sounds, play games, provide live feeds, and exhibit unique personality traits. The future potential for Boogli is limitless, blending creativity with functionality to create engaging and useful products.
