The Mahalo Journey

Mahalo is an innovative technology-driven platform based in Oahu, Hawaii, that bridges the gap between adventure guides and adventure enthusiasts. As a trusted online community, Mahalo enables users to list, discover, and book unique travel experiences across the globe.

Designing and crafting a visual solution for Mahalo has been an immensely gratifying experience. The platform aims to connect adventure guides with adventure seekers, catering to various budgets and preferences.

To understand and guide product innovation, I employed a strategic generative/exploratory research approach. This involved delving into local culture, interviewing experienced guides, and examining client motivations to create an application tailored to listing, discovering, and booking one-of-a-kind travel experiences in Hawaii.

After comprehending the target audience's needs, I developed multiple flow maps to outline how users would interact with the system. These diagrams served to define the overall screen states and aided the development team in incorporating the necessary interaction capabilities.

Mahalo provides an effortless way for individuals to capitalize on their native travel expertise and share their passions with a global audience. In the spirit of gratitude, I say "Mahalo" to Mahalo!
